Susan McGovern
Susan is a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a BA Hons degree in integrative counselling and psychotherapy and is a member of the IACP (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) adhering to their ethical guidelines.
Susan provides an open and safe space for clients to freely explore their experiences, emotions, patterns and struggles, and develop their resources to promote understanding, connection, healing and growth. Susan takes a humanistic approach to psychotherapy, views the client as the best authority on their own unique experience and focuses on creating the space for clients to find the truth within themselves, cultivating acceptance, autonomy and positive change at their own pace. Susan believes in the importance of the therapeutic relationship for healing, bringing compassion and presence, in facilitating a trusting environment for clients to be able to open up areas in their life that may have been cut off or hidden.
Susan holds a holistic view of healing and growth, adopting a flexible approach tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual client drawing on the influences of humanistic, psychodynamic, family systems, CBT, mindfulness and compassion-focused practices.

Stress and anxiety, depression, attachment issues, self-esteem, shame, self-criticism, isolation, relationship difficulties, loss and grief, life transitions, trauma, abuse, coercive control, harassment, and work-related stress.
Susan also holds Advanced Diplomas in Personal & Executive and Mental Health & Wellbeing Coaching and has previously worked for over 20 years in HR, Leadership Development and Coaching, supporting individuals on their journeys of personal growth.
