Fiona Tierney
Fiona is a qualified psychotherapist with a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Institute for Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (IICP). She is a member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and adheres to their code of ethics and supervision guidelines.
Fiona’s approach is person-centered and so she works to support clients in exploring issues, feelings, beliefs, behaviour and worldview. With her guidance this allows clients to achieve a sense of autonomy and personal growth. Fiona is experienced in working with adults with depression and anxiety, and those living with the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Additionally, Fiona regularly attends postgraduate training in autism therapy. She believes a unique level of understanding and skills are required when working with the autistic community. She is also aware of the importance of support and guidance for parents when their child receives an autism diagnosis. This can be an extremely fearful and lonely time for families. Fiona is passionate about helping people navigate this new reality and unravel the complex emotions that can be an integral part of this experience.
