Blány Henderson

Blány is a mum of 3 and lucky to be living in the seaside town of Bray, Co. Wicklow.

Growing up, spirituality and alternative medicine were present in her house from her parents. From being cleansed with sage sticks doing the Leaving Cert (mum) to drinking home-made Kombucha (dad).

Blány originally started out on a path in holistic therapies life choices steered her in a different direction in which she studied HR and followed a career in financial services.

The undercurrent of a holistic path always remained in her and continued to present itself.

Attracted to power yoga in her early 20s, for the benefits of strengthening and toning, she was subsequently drawn to the ritualistic and spiritual practice it represented.

So how does a kids yoga class actually go?

Well, it can be a little bit hectic and in contrast he to what we expect a yoga class to be.

But every child has an ah ha moment when they’re settled, relaxed and at ease.

This is following guiding them in yoga asana, breathing, focus and relaxation techniques through play, stories and props.

Notice their focus improve, their ability to use new skills to balance their emotions and their awareness expand!

With an increase in the pace of our lives and instant technology, any time taken to withdraw and self-care through nourishing practices is beneficial in reducing our reactions to what life throws at us daily.
